White Law PLLC founder Jamie White is one of Michigan’s preeminent attorneys representing survivors of sexual abuse and assault. Jamie and his team have been heavily involved in some of the most significant sexual abuse litigation in the State of Michigan.
Jamie was one of the first attorneys to file lawsuits against Larry Nassar, Michigan State University, USA Gymnastics, the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and other large institutions seeking to hold responsible the perpetrators of sexual abuse and their enablers. Mr. White is prepared to go after large institutions that have allowed prolific sexual abuse to occur, whether it is universities, colleges, faith-based institutions, community groups, or any other organization.
Recently, Jamie played a major role in changing Michigan’s statute of limitation laws for childhood sexual abuse and sexual crimes committed against children. Jamie drafted proposed laws and lobbied representatives and senators which ultimately resulted in a bi-partisan reformation of Michigan’s previously outdated and unfair laws. Jamie’s work played a critical role in reaching a $500,000,000.00 settlement with Michigan State University in 2018 for the sexual abuse committed by Larry Nassar.
Currently, Jamie is representing numerous victims of Catholic and clergy sexual abuse, survivors of Dr. Robert Anderson from the University of Michigan, and other survivors of sexual and physical abuse.
Jamie has been highlighted in national publications such as the Daily Beast, U.S.A. Today, and CNN, while also appearing alongside survivors on the Dr. Phil Show, and recently being featured in the inspiring book The Girls: An All-American Town, a Predatory Doctor, and the Untold Story of the Gymnasts Who Brought Him Down by Abigail Pesta.
